Inspired by the tradition of putting athletes on Wheaties cereal boxes, the 45-second commercial features Microsoft’s Xbox Elite Series 2 game controllers as if they were prizes in cereal boxes. Featuring video game influencers like Myth, Loserfruit, and Chica, the ad shows how these devices can be customized according to each player’s haptic preferences and adapt to a wide variety of games and players at any skill level.

The cheerful jingle in the ad promotes the multiple colors of the device and adaptability to different types of games. Additionally, the main character in the commercial, who has a controller for a head, plays the saxophone before going back into the cereal box. An amazing spectacle you won’t want to miss!

The creative challenge
Mutiny’s Associate Creative Director, Claire Zimmerman, said, «It was an incredibly fun challenge to bring the unique personality of each of the controllers to life through our visual design and campaign.» Mutiny even distributed customized cereal boxes with personalized controllers to another 25 content creators worldwide.
